African Disability Collaboration

Words and a shared vision that emerged during our time at Opportunity Collaboration (OC) 2022 led to the inception of the African Disability Collaboration (ADC).

This aspiration took a significant stride forward as all ADC partners met at Kyaninga Child Development Centre (KCDC) in Fort Portal, Uganda, in March 2023. This momentous event served as the triumphant launch of our initiative (Watch our disability awareness march here)

The dialogues and concepts from this gathering paved the way for the forthcoming Visit to two special needs schools in Malindi and the African Summit on Inclusive Early Childhood Care and Education (AfricanIECCESummit) in Kenya.

The Africa IECCE Summit proved a resounding success, uniting 450 distinguished delegates from seven nations alongside an active virtual participation of over 200 attendees.

We extend our profound gratitude to The Action Foundation team, whose exemplary leadership was pivotal in this exceptional event, and to all esteemed Donors and Partners who contributed to its realization. African Disability Collaboration Chairperson’s Speech

This remarkable milestone merely scratches the surface of our relentless journey towards fostering an inclusive Africa for children with disabilities. #AfricaIECCESummit
